  • El Ministerio de Educación debe garantizar políticas públicas autónomas que no perjudiquen a los/las estudiantes, sobre todo en lo que corresponde a políticas educativas sobre sexualidad. Aunque el curso de religión católica no sea obligatorio asistir, la fuerte presencia de este curso en escuelas públicas fortalece el poder de la religión católica y su sistema de valores y morales que pueden afectar el enseño de educación integrada en sexualidad.

    The Montevideo Consensus makes reference to Secularism in its General Principles: Reaffirm that a secular State is one of the elements fundamental to the full exercise of human rights, the deepening of democracy and the elimination of all forms of discrimination.
